BIOGRAPHY
Pierre joined Messier-Dowty (Safran Landing Systems) in Vélizy in 2000 to finalize the development and the certification of the hydraulic and electrical equipments of the Airbus A340-500/600 landing gears.
In 2003 and 2004, he was in charge of a project dedicated to the improvement of the simulation methods for all Messier Dowty engineering sites.
From 2005 to 2008, he was A400M program chief engineer, in charge of the development of the A400M landing gears and associated control systems. During the three following years in Dallas (Texas), Pierre was responsible for programs and engineering of all Sagem Avionics (Safran Electronics & Defense) OEM activities: cockpit displays, autopilot, data acquisition systems.
Pierre joined Snecma (Safran Aircraft Engines) in 2011 as LEAP 1B chief engineer. Together with our partner General Electric, he led the preliminary studies, development, ground and flight testing and certification of the new CFM engine for the Boeing B737MAX.
From 2016 to 2018, he was successively in charge of the external systems division and the propulsion system design office within Safran Aircraft Engines engineering. He was appointed VP Engineering and R&T of Safran Nacelles in July 2018. He returned to Safran Aircraft Engines in January 2023 and was appointed EVP Engineering, Research & Technology in January 2024.
